BACKGROUND
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Republic Indonesia and ITTA Foundation is proud to present the first annual Indonesia Travel and Tourism Awards. The awards serve to recognize, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the Indonesia travel and tourism industry. The objective of this first-ever event is to create
an awareness of the indispensable service-quality providing in the travel and tourism industry, the second largest income generator of this republic after energy sector, so that they always strive in assuring the quality and prove strong brands serving the Indonesian market.

A comprehensive board of experts, exemplary travel individuals from various travel and tourism backgrounds are appointed to perform the qualitative selection process. The organizer and The Ministry of Culture and Tourism make it top priority to acknowledge, nominate and select the best brand and people in the industry. The Board of Advisors consists of some of the most respected Indonesians. The board is filled up with multi talented, well-respected Indonesian tourism and non tourism personalities, such as Mrs. Meity Robot (Masyarakat Pariwisata Indonesia), Mrs. Elly Hutabarat (ASEANTA Member), Mrs. Wuryastuti Sunario (Care Tourism Indonesia), Mr. Johnnie Sugianto (Miss Indonesia Tourism Foundation), Prof. Roy Sembel (Financial Analyst), Mrs. Indira Abidin (Indonesia Public Relations Expert), and Mr. Enda Nasution (Indonesia’s Father of Blogger).
